Delete a single report from Reports, using that report's options menu. Delete everything from Account, using Delete account and confirming with the account name. Report deletion removes that report and its results. Account deletion removes profiles, reports, extracted results, AI chats, sessions, and connected-app tokens. Both are permanent.
Before you delete anything
Deletion is the one control that has no undo, so it is worth a minute of preparation.
- Check whether you need a copy. There is no export feature yet. If you want a report, open it and use the original-file link where it is available.
- Check which profile you are in. Reports belong to the profile they were uploaded to, and a family account can hold several.
- Check who else can see it. A profile shared with someone else is theirs to lose too, if you own it.
Two deletions, and what each one removes
| You want to delete | Where | What is removed | Reversible |
|---|---|---|---|
| One report and its results | Reports, then the report's options menu, then Delete report | That report's file and the results extracted from it, removed from the timeline | No |
| One profile you own | Account, then Manage profiles, then the profile's delete button | The profile and its timeline, including for anyone it was shared with | No |
| Your whole account | Account, then the options menu, then Delete account | The account, profiles you created, reports, extracted results, AI chats, sign-in connections, sessions, and access tokens | No |
| A connector's access | Account, then Connected Apps | The grant only. Your account and reports stay | Reconnect to restore |
| Someone else's access to your profile | Account, then Manage profiles, then the sharing screen | That person's access. The profile and its data stay | Share again later |
Delete one report
- Open Reports and choose the report.
- Open the report options menu, the three-dot button.
- Choose Delete report and confirm.
The report and its results are removed from the timeline. Anyone the profile is shared with stops seeing those results too. If the report is still processing, the uploaded file remains available until the report is deleted.
Delete your account
- Open Account.
- Open the account options menu, the three-dot button at the top right.
- Choose Delete account.
- Follow the confirmation, including typing the account name as requested, then confirm.
This removes the account and personal details, every profile you created including profiles shared with other people, the reports and documents in them, the extracted biomarker data, your DoctanoAI chats, and your sign-in connections, sessions, and access tokens. Uploaded files are removed from object storage, and shared access to profiles you owned is removed as well.
What deletion may leave behind
Three things can outlive a deletion, and the policy states them plainly.
- Operational records of report processing may be kept for debugging, security, and reliability. They are not linked to your account identity and cannot be used to rebuild the account.
- Backups and operational copies may temporarily retain deleted data until they are overwritten in the normal backup cycle. Deleted accounts are not restored from backups.
- Limited information may be kept where the law requires it, for example to prevent abuse, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation.
If you cannot sign in
Email [email protected] from the Google address linked to the account and ask for deletion. The request is verified against the account before it is actioned. For any other privacy request, including correction, use [email protected] or [email protected].
Copies Doctano cannot delete
A deletion reaches Doctano's records. It does not reach a PDF you emailed to a relative, a photo in a family group chat, a copy in your own cloud drive, or a report your doctor still holds. If the concern is the whole trail rather than one app, those copies need their own cleanup.
