How to request account deletion

Doctano is a web app, so there is nothing to delete from a phone's app settings. Deleting your Doctano account removes the account itself and every record linked to it.

  1. Open Doctano at app.doctano.com and sign in with Google, which is the only sign-in method currently enabled.
  2. Open your Account page.
  3. Open the account options menu (the three-dot button at the top right of the Account page) and choose Delete account.
  4. Confirm by typing your full name exactly as it appears on the account, then select Delete my account.

The button at the top of this page opens that delete screen directly. If you are signed out, you are asked to sign in first and then taken to the screen.

If you cannot sign in

Email [email protected] from the Google address linked to your account and ask for account deletion. We verify the request against the account and delete it as soon as ownership is confirmed.

Data that is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

  • Your Doctano account and personal details, including name, email address, profile image, date of birth, and gender.
  • Every health profile you created, including profiles you shared with other people, together with the reports, documents, and biomarker results in them.
  • Report files and generated profile images you uploaded, removed from object storage.
  • Your DoctanoAI chat history.
  • Your sign-in connections, active sessions, and access tokens for any connected app.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Data that is kept

A small set of records is not removed by deletion, only because it is not tied to your account or is needed to run the service safely:

  • Operational records of report processing may be retained for debugging, security, and reliability. These are not linked to your account identity and cannot be used to rebuild your account.
  • Encrypted backups and operational copies may continue to hold deleted data until they are overwritten in the normal backup cycle. Deleted accounts are not restored from backups.
  • Limited information may be kept where the law requires it, for example to prevent abuse, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation.

Retention period

Your account and all of the data listed under "Data that is deleted" are removed immediately when you confirm deletion, so there is no fixed retention period for active account data. The only data that outlives deletion is the small set described above: operational records and backups, which clear on the normal backup and log cycle, and any information Doctano is legally required to keep. Doctano does not set a separate extended retention window beyond those cycles.

More detail. The Privacy Policy describes what Doctano collects and how data is handled. To delete a single report, or for any question about this page, contact [email protected].
